The end of the school year is always celebrated with a picnic.
For the second year, the picnic took place in Blackburn Park in Webster Groves.
Students of the beginner’s class and their teacher sit together re-telling the events of the year.
Food is always plentiful during this event. The school provides Brats and Weißwürste from G&W, students prepare the side dishes.
Here students from the advanced, intermediate and beginner II adult classes are engaged in a conversation.
Family and friends are invited to join the students at the picnic.
For the first time the German School and the German Kindergarten had a joint picnic.
We were very lucky with the weather this year. The rainfall ceased Friday night and returned just after the picnic.
Saturday, May 10th was only slightly cool and windy.
We honored the North Frisian motto:
“Es gibt kein schlechtes Wetter, nur schlechte Kleidung.” (There is no bad weather, only insufficient clothing.)
