The traditional Christmas Party of the German Cultural Society and the German School Association draws a crowd of about 400 people.
The children of the German School perform the program under the experienced guidance of Helga Thalheimer.
The children sing traditional German Christmas songs like, ‘Vom Himmel hoch’, ‘Süßer die Glocken nie klingen’ and others. Like always some fun is mixed in. Here the children sing
‘Rudolph the red nosed reindeer’ in German.
Mary and Joseph take center stage. The tall Christmas tree is lit. Everyone is awaiting the angels, the kindergarten children who are about to enter.
The audience waits in anticipation.
The light is dimmed.
The angels of the kindergarten sit front stage and sing ‘Kling Glöckchen klingelingeling’.
The finale, and most exciting for the children is the arrival of Santa Claus with a present for every child in the room.
The program ends with the traditional song ‘Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht’.
